While the IPCC in its October 2018 report is alarmist in the face of global warming (at the current rate of warming, the 1.5°C threshold will be crossed between 2030 and 2052), while in August 2019 the publication of an unprecedented new report on the state of the planet’s soils and the way their exploitation is disrupting the climate, that citizen movements around the world are emerging (complaint filed in France against the government (ongoing) , complaint in the Netherlands against the government (won), climate demonstrations in more than 60 countries since the end of 2018), and also in Switzerland (initiative for the glaciers of the Swiss association for the climate, student strike for the climate in January 2019, complaint of the elders for the climate), it is more than ever time to strengthen the citizen movements of the Transition which meet during the Alternatiba Léman festival.
All local initiatives that contribute to the reduction of climate change, with concrete solutions to build a more united and more sustainable society are, during the festival, promoted in the public space and thus accessible to all.
Thus, terroir wine club will be represented on Saturday, the 3rd of September 2022 at Parc des Bastions in Geneva for a special wine tasting of local wines.
